Shortly after opening our doors in the summer of 2008, we were named the Valley's best ice cream by Phoenix New Times. We believe that our success stems from our innovative flavors, artisan craftsmanship and premium ingredients.
Our flavor creations, such as decadent Salted Butter Caramel Swirl, refreshing Basil Lime sorbet and the famous Cheese Course Duo (a pairing of blue cheese with Arizona Medjool dates that, surprisingly, really works), are based on the combination of both our worldwide travels.
Before moving to Arizona to launch Sweet Republic, Helen was an East Coaster who worked in New York City and London before heading off to Sydney to attend Le Cordon Bleu. She then moved to Berkeley to work on the hot line at Eccolo, a Cal-Italian restaurant. While Jan was a West Coast girl who worked in finance in the Asian culinary capitals of Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok.
Because Helen handcrafts all our ice cream in small batches, the selection changes regularly. We do promise 24 flavors of ice cream, sorbet and yogurt daily – both unique and classic.
